Artists Under the Lights: A Local Art Night Market in El Cerrito

Looking for something fun to do in El Cerrito this October?

Join us for Artists Under the Lights, a local evening market at Jenny K Gift Shop + Well Grounded featuring artists, makers, food, live music, wine tasting, shopping, and community.

The event takes place on Thursday, October 8 from 5:30–8 PM at 6921 Stockton Avenue in El Cerrito.

It’s an easy, casual way to spend an evening in the East Bay—browse work from local artists, grab dinner from a food truck, enjoy live saxophone music, sample wine, and shop local.

Meet Local Artists and Makers

One of our favorite parts of Artists Under the Lights is discovering the people behind the work. This event brings together several new artists and makers, each with something completely different to share.

Valerie Neumark Mickela creates mini acrylic paintings, magnets, and handmade jewelry — small-scale pieces that are easy to browse and take home.

Artisticle by Aimee Alexander will be bringing original art, art prints, and greeting card packs. Aimee has shown at events including Renegade Craft, Craneway Craft Fair, and Makers Market.

Arthur Norcome works in abstract watercolor, offering both original paintings and prints.

Flour Powers Bakery will be joining us with artisan baked goods including sourdough bread, cookies, cinnamon rolls, scones, and muffins.

Bloom and Berries creates an eclectic mix of glass art — including pumpkins, strawberries, unusual glassware, and sculptural pieces — along with quartz crystals and small floral paintings.

Food, Wine and Live Music

Curbside Kitchen will be back for the evening, so you can grab dinner while you browse.

We’ll also have a live saxophonist performing throughout the event, helping create the relaxed neighborhood-night-market atmosphere we love.

A local winery will also be joining us for a wine tasting, with bottles available for purchase inside Well Grounded.

A Fun East Bay Evening

Artists Under the Lights is designed to be less like a formal art fair and more like a neighborhood evening out.

Come after work, meet friends, bring the family, grab something to eat, browse art and handmade goods, enjoy a glass of wine, and spend some time in the community.
